Step 2: Store PULSE Genomic Items in DC305

Before you can include any PULSE genomic data in your DC305 DairyComp 305 - VAS Dairy Management Software reports, you must first add PULSE genomic items to DC305. Follow the steps below to continue:

1. In DC305, enter PLATFORM in the command line to open the VAS PULSE Setup window.



2. Click the Pulse Items tab.
3. Click the + Genomics button to expand the list.

4. Map or add a genomic trait:

   • Map Existing Item: To map a genomic trait to an existing DC305 item, double-click the trait. Select the existing item, then click OK to confirm your selection to map the trait to the item.
   • Add New Item: To create a new item for a genomic trait in DC305, check the box for the trait. Click Create (1) Items, then confirm your selection to add the item to the DC305 database.

After you store the items, proceed to Step 3: Map Genomic Items in PULSE to map the genomic items in PULSE.
