Learn More about Open Tasks Lists (MyDC only)

Users must have Herd Read permissions to view Open Tasks lists. Users with Herd Write permissions can perform the following additional tasks:

  • Tap or scan an animal and mark the task as Skip or Complete.
  • Undo an animal on the DONE list.

This feature/option is available only for MyDC subscribers. DC Unlimited subscribers will not see it in PULSE because this functionality is controlled in on-premise DairyComp rather than in PULSE.

An Open Tasks list is a special type of daily worklist that is automatically generated for MyDC dairies to capture today's tasks associated with your Dairy Protocols. The Open Tasks list supports the administration of your protocols and helps you stay on top of your protocol-related treatments and AIClosed artificial insemination activities.

Follow the guidelines below when working with Open Tasks lists:

  • Open Tasks lists work a little differently than your standard mobile worklists, which require you to Process Changes before the updates are sent to PULSE. Open Tasks include PULSE-only protocol tasks. When you mark tasks as Complete or Skip, the mobile app updates the animal record immediately if you have an active WiFi or data connection.

  • In a mobile worklist, the animals are displayed by the animal's pen number. You can view animals by each pen, or you can view all animals across all pens. To view animals across all pens, simply select the All Pens option.

    When you select All Pens for an Open Tasks list, the system lists all protocol tasks for all animals in all pens.

  • Required tasks are highlighted with an asterisk.
  • Click on a task to view task and animal details. The system shows the animal's current pen and the number of days she has been pregnant (DCCClosed Days carrying calf/pregnant). If she has had a lactation, the details include its lactation number and days in milk (DIMClosed Days in milk). If she has not had a lactation, the details include her age and times bred (TBRDClosed Times bred).
