Required Permissions
Users must have Herd Read permissions to view Open Tasks lists. Users with Herd Write permissions can perform the following additional tasks:
- Tap or scan an animal and mark the task as Skip or Complete.
- Undo an animal on the DONE list.

This feature/option is available only for MyDC subscribers. DC Unlimited subscribers will not see it in PULSE because this functionality is controlled in on-premise DairyComp rather than in PULSE.

An Open Tasks list is a daily todo list that is automatically generated for MyDC dairies to capture today Today's date's tasks for your herd. The Open Tasks list shows tasks from multiple sources, like your Dairy Protocols and integrations with heat and health partners, and helps you complete all required animal activities for the current day. Task Lists include all OvSynch protocol A dairy protocols include a series of treatments or tasks that follow a prescribed order and schedule. Protocols may be defined for reproduction purposes, to treat an illness, or for routine vaccinations.s, wellness checks, and any other scheduled tasks.
Follow the guidelines below when working with the Open Tasks list:
- Open Tasks lists work a little differently than your standard mobile worklist A worklist is a structured list of tasks or animals requiring attention, typically used to organize and prioritize work. In PULSE and the mobile app, worklists identify animals that need to be seen by dairy workers or animal health experts for specific reasons, such as pregnancy checks or treatment in a hospital pen.s, which require you to Process Changes before the updates are sent to PULSE. Open Tasks include PULSE-only protocol tasks. When you mark tasks as Complete or Skip, the mobile app updates the animal record immediately if you have an active WiFi or data connection.

In a mobile worklist,
Pen number number. You can view animals by each pen, or you can 
When you select All Pens for an Open Tasks list, the system lists all protocol tasks for all animals in all pens.
- Required tasks are highlighted with an asterisk.
- Click on a task to view task and animal details. The system shows the animal's current pen and the number of days she has been pregnant (DCC Days carrying calf/pregnant). If she has had a lactation, the details include its lactation number and days in milk (DIM Days in milk). If she has not had a lactation, the details include her age Age in months and times bred (TBRD Times bred).
